A Continent's Variety in One Country

Argentina runs from the subtropical falls of Iguazu to the glaciers and peaks of Patagonia, and takes in some of the most seductive experiences in travel along the way — tango and steak in Buenos Aires, the wine country of Mendoza, the wildlife of the Valdes Peninsula and the end-of-the-world drama of the deep south.

At HighStreet Holidays we don't simply book Argentina — we route its huge distances for you: the city, the falls, the wine and Patagonia, linked by internal flights and timed to the season.

With access to a carefully vetted portfolio, from Buenos Aires boutique hotels to Patagonian estancias, we build an Argentina that spans a continent's worth of scenery in one journey.

Argentina is a whole continent's variety in one country — tango, glaciers, wine and Iguazu. The distances are vast, which is exactly why the routing matters.

Signature Experiences
Moments That Linger
Argentina rewards the traveller who covers its range. These are the experiences our clients come home remembering.
The most European of South American capitals
Buenos Aires
The most European of South American capitals — tango, grand cafes, world-class steak and the elegant, faded glamour of its barrios.
Hundreds of thundering cascades on the Brazilian border
Iguazu Falls
Hundreds of thundering cascades on the Brazilian border — one of the natural wonders of the world, walked up close on both sides.
The glaciers of El Calafate, the granite towers around El Chalten and the end-of-the-world drama of Ushuaia
Patagonia
The glaciers of El Calafate, the granite towers around El Chalten and the end-of-the-world drama of Ushuaia — Patagonia at its most spectacular.
The home of Malbec, with vineyards beneath the snow-capped Andes
Mendoza Wine Country
The home of Malbec, with vineyards beneath the snow-capped Andes — tastings, long lunches and superb wine-country lodges.
The Valdes Peninsula's whales, penguins, sea lions and elephant seals
Wildlife & Valdes
The Valdes Peninsula's whales, penguins, sea lions and elephant seals — some of South America's finest marine wildlife.
The vast, advancing glacier near El Calafate, calving into the lake with a crack like thunder
Perito Moreno Glacier
The vast, advancing glacier near El Calafate, calving into the lake with a crack like thunder — a highlight of any Patagonian journey.

Best Time to Visit
When to Go
PATAGONIA SUMMER
November to March
The southern summer — the only practical window for Patagonia, with the longest days and the mildest weather. The peak season; book the southern lodges well ahead.
SPRING & AUTUMN
September-November & March-May
The most comfortable seasons for Buenos Aires and Mendoza — mild and pleasant, with autumn colour in the wine country and fewer crowds.
WINTER
June to August
Cool in the centre and south (Patagonia largely closes), but a fine time for the subtropical north, Iguazu and the wine country, and for skiing in the Andes.
IGUAZU & THE NORTH
Year-round
The subtropical north and Iguazu Falls are warm and rewarding all year, with the falls at their most powerful after the summer rains.
