HAND-VETTED RESORTS

Two Coasts, Two Holidays, One Island

Barbados wears its two coasts like two different holidays. The west — the Platinum Coast — is the postcard: calm, clear Caribbean water, powder sand and the grandest of the island's hotels strung along it. The rugged east, where the Atlantic rolls in over Bathsheba's boulders, is wilder, greener and barely touched. Between them sits an island the size of the Isle of Wight, with the warmth, rum and rhythm of somewhere far larger.

At HighStreet Holidays we don't simply book Barbados — we place you on the right coast, in the right resort, for the holiday you actually want. Calm-water luxury on the west; surf and seclusion on the east; the buzz of Oistins and Bridgetown whenever you fancy it.

With access to a carefully vetted portfolio, from intimate boltholes to the island's celebrated names, we build a Barbados that fits you.

Barbados gives you two islands in one — the calm of the west and the wild of the east. The art is knowing which you came for.

Signature Experiences
Moments That Linger
Beyond the lounger, Barbados rewards the curious. These are the experiences our clients come home remembering.
Off the west coast, hawksbill and green turtles glide through warm shallow water
Swim with Sea Turtles
Off the west coast, hawksbill and green turtles glide through warm shallow water. Slip in from a catamaran and snorkel alongside them — the island's most reliable, and most magical, encounter.

Mount Gay & the Rum Trail

Oistins Fish Fry
Friday night in the south, the whole island gathers at Oistins for grilled marlin and flying fish, rum punch and live music under the stars. The most fun you'll have off a resort.
The Atlantic coast is a different Barbados
Bathsheba & the East
The Atlantic coast is a different Barbados — giant boulders, crashing surf and the green Scotland District behind. Wild, photogenic and almost empty.
A tram ride deep into a living limestone cavern of flowing streams, waterfalls and towering stalactites at the island's heart
Harrison's Cave
A tram ride deep into a living limestone cavern of flowing streams, waterfalls and towering stalactites at the island's heart — a cool, otherworldly contrast to the beach.
Sail the Platinum Coast with lunch and rum punch aboard, anchoring over turtle grounds and shipwrecks to snorkel
Catamaran Coast Cruise
Sail the Platinum Coast with lunch and rum punch aboard, anchoring over turtle grounds and shipwrecks to snorkel. The classic Barbadian day on the water.

Best Time to Visit
When to Go
PEAK SEASON
December to April
The dry season and Caribbean winter — warm, sunny days around 28-30C, low humidity and calm west-coast seas. The island's finest and busiest weeks; book well ahead for Christmas, New Year and February half-term.
EXCELLENT VALUE
May to June & November
The shoulder months — still warm and largely dry, with noticeably lower rates and quieter beaches. Among the best value-to-weather windows of the year.
WARM & GREEN
July to October
The wetter months bring short, heavy afternoon showers and lush landscapes. Sitting on the southern edge of the hurricane belt, Barbados is historically less exposed than islands further north — though storms can pass, so insurance covering disruption is wise.
YEAR-ROUND WARMTH
Every month
Barbados rarely drops below the high 20s, and trade winds keep even the hottest months comfortable. There's no bad time — only the right time for your budget and the crowds.
