The Island the South Pacific Is Measured Against

Bora Bora is the island the whole South Pacific is measured against — a ring of islets around a lagoon of impossible blues, with the jagged peak of Mount Otemanu rising at its heart. This is the home of the overwater villa, where you step from your deck straight into warm, clear water, and where honeymooners have come to mark the occasion for generations.

At HighStreet Holidays we don't simply book Bora Bora — we choose the right resort and lagoon position for you, and arrange every transfer from Papeete across the water.

With access to a carefully vetted portfolio of the island's finest overwater retreats, we build a Bora Bora that lives up to a reputation few places on earth could carry.

There's a reason Bora Bora tops every honeymoon list ever written. The first time the lagoon comes into view from the plane, you understand it completely.

Best Time to Visit
When to Go
DRY SEASON
May to October
The cooler, drier Polynesian winter — sunny, less humid, with the calmest lagoons. The best and most popular window for overwater villas and diving; book well ahead.
SHOULDER
May & October-November
Dry-season conditions with fewer visitors and better value — a lovely time to catch the island a little quieter.
WET SEASON
November to April
Hotter and more humid, with heavier showers and a small cyclone risk. Lush, quiet and cheaper, with plenty of sun still between the rain.
YEAR-ROUND WARMTH
Every month
The lagoon stays warm (around 26-29C) all year, so swimming is wonderful in every month — the dry season simply brings the most reliable sunshine.
