Africa's Finest Wilderness

Botswana is, for many, the finest safari country in Africa — the watery wilderness of the Okavango Delta, the great elephant herds of Chobe, and the haunting emptiness of the Kalahari. Its low-impact, low-volume policy means few vehicles, vast private concessions and a sense of true wilderness that is increasingly rare.

At HighStreet Holidays we don't simply book Botswana — we route a fly-in safari between contrasting camps: water and land, Delta and Chobe, often finishing at Victoria Falls next door, with every light-aircraft hop handled.

With access to a carefully vetted portfolio, from Delta water camps to Kalahari lodges, we build a Botswana safari that is exclusive, wild and quietly spectacular.

Botswana is the connoisseur's safari — low-volume, high-end and genuinely wild. The Okavango Delta in particular has no equal anywhere in Africa.

Signature Experiences
Moments That Linger
Botswana rewards the traveller who wants true wilderness. These are the experiences our clients come home remembering.
Okavango Delta
The Okavango Delta
A vast inland delta of channels, lagoons and islands — explored by mokoro (dugout canoe) and game drive, with extraordinary wildlife and few other vehicles.
elephant
Chobe
Home to one of Africa's greatest elephant populations — game drives and boat safaris along the Chobe River, where huge herds gather at the water.
Kalahari
The Kalahari
The haunting expanse of the Kalahari and the Makgadikgadi salt pans — desert-adapted wildlife, meerkats and some of the darkest, starriest skies on earth.
Aircraft Botswana
Fly-In Safari
Light aircraft link remote camps over the Delta and the bush — the romance of the fly-in safari, and the only way to reach the wildest concessions.
Lion Botswana
Predators & Big Game
Lions, leopards, wild dogs and the full cast of big game in private concessions — with night drives and walking safaris off-limits in the national parks alone.
Botswana Victoria fall
Victoria Falls
Just next door — the thundering Falls make a natural, spectacular start or finish to a Botswana safari (see our Zambia and Zimbabwe pages).

Best Time to Visit
When to Go
DRY SEASON & PEAK
May to October
The prime safari season — dry, with wildlife concentrated at the water and the Delta's floodwaters at their highest around June to August. The busiest and priciest; book early.
GREEN SEASON
November to March
The summer rains bring lush landscapes, newborns and superb birding, with dramatic skies. Hotter and quieter, with the best value and the Kalahari at its best.
SHOULDER
April & November
The edges of the seasons — good wildlife, fewer guests and better rates, with mostly fine weather.
THE DELTA FLOOD
June to August
The paradox of the Delta — its floodwaters peak in the dry winter, fed by distant rains, making the water camps and mokoro trips at their most magical.
