The Beaches Other Beaches Aspire To

Seven degrees south of the equator, the Seychelles is where the picture of the perfect beach was arguably invented: vast smooth granite boulders, sculpted over millions of years, set against sand the texture of icing sugar and water in three shades of impossible blue. Anse Source d'Argent on La Digue is the most photographed beach on earth, and in person it somehow exceeds the photograph.

At HighStreet Holidays we don't simply book the Seychelles — we string its islands together. Cosmopolitan Mahé, laid-back Praslin with its primeval Vallée de Mai, tiny La Digue where ox-carts still outnumber cars, and the private-island sanctuaries beyond: the art is in the sequence, and that's exactly what we do.

With access to a carefully vetted portfolio across the granitic inner islands and the resorts that crown them, we build a Seychelles that balances barefoot simplicity with genuine luxury.

The Seychelles doesn't ask you to choose between wild and refined. Its genius is that, here, they are the same thing.

Signature Experiences
Moments That Linger
Beyond the beach, the Seychelles rewards the curious. These are the experiences our clients come home remembering.
Anse Source d'Argent
Anse Source d'Argent
The world's most photographed beach, on La Digue — sculpted granite boulders, shallow warm water and light that turns gold late in the day. Reach it by bicycle through a working coconut plantation.
Vallée de Mai
A UNESCO-listed prehistoric palm forest on Praslin, home to the legendary coco de mer and the rare black parrot. Walking its silent paths feels like stepping back before the rest of the world began.
Island Hopping
Island Hopping
Inter-island ferries and light aircraft link Mahé, Praslin and La Digue — and beyond them, the private islands. A Seychelles holiday is rarely one island; the magic is in the moving between.
Giant Tortoises
Giant Tortoises
Aldabra giant tortoises — some over a century old — roam freely on several islands. On Curieuse, you walk among them in the open, a quiet encounter with one of the planet's great survivors.
Reefs & Marine Parks
Reefs & Marine Parks
Sainte Anne Marine Park off Mahé, the granite dive sites off Praslin — warm, clear water full of turtles, rays and reef fish, at their calmest in April-May and October-November.
Creole Flavours
Creole Flavours
Grilled job-fish, octopus curry, breadfruit and tropical fruit picked that morning — Seychellois Creole cooking is fresh, fiery and unmistakably of these islands.

Best Time to Visit
When to Go
CALM & DRY
May to September
The south-east trade winds bring cooler, drier, breezier weather — comfortable days, lower humidity and lively seas that suit sailing and walking. The most settled stretch of the year, and high season for good reason.
HOT & HUMID
November to March
The north-west monsoon brings hotter, more humid weather and heavier (though often short) rainfall, especially December to February. The sea is glassier and warmer — and the islands quieter between the festive peaks.
BEST FOR DIVING
April-May & October-November
The transitional months, when the winds drop and the sea turns mirror-calm. Underwater visibility is at its best — the prime window for diving and snorkelling, and many specialists' favourite time to go.
WARM YEAR-ROUND
Every month
Sitting just south of the equator and outside the cyclone belt, the Seychelles stays warm — around 25-30C — all year. There is no bad time; only the right time for what you've come to do.
Sample Itinerary
A 7-Night Seychelles Journey
Every itinerary we create is bespoke — this is simply one way a perfect week unfolds, across three islands.
1
DAY 1 — DEPARTURE
UK to Mahé
Your overnight flight departs in the evening — around ten hours direct from London with British Airways, or via a Gulf hub from your regional UK airport. You land into Mahé the next morning.
2
DAYS 2-3 — MAHÉ
The Main Island
Settle into Mahé — Beau Vallon's long sweep of sand, the markets and Creole architecture of Victoria, and the granite-framed coves of the south. The Seychelles eases you in gently.
3
DAYS 4-5 — PRASLIN
Vallée de Mai & Anse Lazio
A short hop to Praslin: the prehistoric palm forest of the Vallée de Mai, and Anse Lazio — routinely named among the world's finest beaches — for an afternoon that needs no itinerary.
4
DAYS 6-7 — LA DIGUE
Bicycles & Boulders
Cross to tiny La Digue, where you travel by bicycle and ox-cart. Ride through coconut groves to Anse Source d'Argent, and let the pace drop to nothing at all.
5
DAY 8 — FAREWELL
Final Morning & Departure
A final island breakfast before your transfer back to Mahé and your evening flight home — three islands, one unbroken week of blue.
