Seven Hundred Islands, One Impossible Blue

The Bahamas is not one island but seven hundred, scattered across the clearest water in the Atlantic. Beyond the energy of Nassau and Paradise Island lie the Out Islands — Harbour Island's blush-pink sand, the Exumas' swimming pigs and uninhabited cays, Eleuthera's empty beaches — a world of barefoot luxury where the sea glows in shades of blue that don't seem quite real.

At HighStreet Holidays we don't simply book the Bahamas — we choose your island, or string several together. The buzz of Nassau, the seclusion of a private cay, the pink sand of Harbour Island: the archipelago rewards the well-planned trip.

With access to a carefully vetted portfolio across the islands, we build a Bahamas that matches barefoot simplicity with real comfort.

The Bahamas is a question of which island, not whether. Choose well and the water does the rest.

Signature Experiences
Moments That Linger
Beyond the beach, the Bahamas rewards the curious. These are the experiences our clients come home remembering.
Boat out to a tiny uninhabited cay in the Exumas where wild pigs swim out to greet you
Swimming Pigs of Exuma
Boat out to a tiny uninhabited cay in the Exumas where wild pigs swim out to greet you. Improbable, joyful, and pure Bahamas.
Three miles of soft, blush-pink sand on Eleuthera's Harbour Island
Harbour Island Pink Sand
Three miles of soft, blush-pink sand on Eleuthera's Harbour Island — coloured by crushed coral, lined with pastel cottages, and arguably the prettiest beach in the country.
The Bahamas sits on some of the world's clearest water and richest reef
Blue Holes & Reefs
The Bahamas sits on some of the world's clearest water and richest reef. Dive a vertical blue hole, drift a wall, or simply snorkel from a sandbar in chest-deep turquoise.
Exuma's sandbars and the islands' marine parks offer close, safe encounters with rays and reef sharks in glass-clear shallows
Swimming with Rays & Sharks
Exuma's sandbars and the islands' marine parks offer close, safe encounters with rays and reef sharks in glass-clear shallows — guided, gentle and unforgettable.
Beyond Nassau lie the Out Islands
Out Island Hopping
Beyond Nassau lie the Out Islands — Exuma, Eleuthera, the Abacos — each quieter than the last. A boat or light aircraft turns one island into a string of them.
Colonial Nassau, the vast resorts of Paradise Island, and the energy of a capital
Nassau & Paradise Island
Colonial Nassau, the vast resorts of Paradise Island, and the energy of a capital — the lively counterpoint whenever you want it before retreating to the quiet.

Best Time to Visit
When to Go
PEAK SEASON
December to April
The dry season and Bahamian winter — warm, sunny days around 25-28C and low humidity. A touch cooler than the southern Caribbean, and the busiest, priciest stretch of the year.
EXCELLENT VALUE
May to June & November
Warm shoulder months with rising temperatures, mostly fine weather and lower rates. Among the best value windows before the summer heat and the festive peak.
HURRICANE SEASON
June to November
The hot, humid summer overlaps the Atlantic hurricane season, with peak risk August to October. Storms don't strike every year, but the Bahamas sits squarely in the zone; travel insurance covering weather is essential.
WARMEST WATERS
June to September
High summer brings the warmest sea and quietest beaches, ideal for diving and snorkelling between showers — at the lowest rates, with the trade-off of heat, humidity and storm risk.
