The Islands That Changed How We See the World

The Galapagos Islands are where the wildlife has no fear of you — giant tortoises, marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies and sea lions that carry on regardless as you walk among them. This is the archipelago that inspired Darwin, a living laboratory of evolution, best explored on an expedition cruise between islands or from an island lodge.

At HighStreet Holidays we don't simply book the Galapagos — we match you to the right vessel or lodge and itinerary, handling the mainland Ecuador connections, the park formalities and the timing.

With access to a carefully vetted portfolio of expedition ships and island hotels, we build a Galapagos journey that lives up to the most extraordinary wildlife destination on earth.

Nowhere else does wildlife simply ignore you. The Galapagos isn't a safari you watch — it's one you walk straight through.

Best Time to Visit
When to Go
WARM SEASON
December to May
Warmer air and water, calmer seas and occasional short showers — superb for snorkelling and the best underwater visibility. A popular, family-friendly window.
COOL SEASON
June to November
Cooler air, the garua mist and rougher seas, but rich marine life as the cold currents bring nutrients — prime time for seabirds and active wildlife.
YEAR-ROUND WILDLIFE
Every month
There is no bad time — the wildlife is spectacular all year, with different species nesting, hatching or courting in each season. We advise on the best months for your interests.
BOOK WELL AHEAD
All seasons
The best vessels sell out months in advance, especially over the festive season and in summer. We secure the right cabin and itinerary early.
