The Adriatic's Dramatic Secret

Montenegro packs astonishing drama into a tiny country — the fjord-like Bay of Kotor ringed by mountains, the iconic island-resort of Sveti Stefan, walled medieval towns, and dramatic peaks rising straight from the Adriatic. Less discovered than neighbouring Croatia, it has quietly become one of the Mediterranean's most exciting luxury destinations.

At HighStreet Holidays we don't simply book Montenegro — we route the bay, the coast and the mountains behind, often alongside Croatia or Dubrovnik next door, with the hotels and transfers handled.

With access to a carefully vetted portfolio, from Bay of Kotor boutiques to coastal resorts, we build a Montenegro trip of fjord, coast and mountain drama.

Montenegro is Croatia's wilder, quieter neighbour — the fjord-like Bay of Kotor, walled towns and mountains straight from the sea. It pairs beautifully with Dubrovnik.

Signature Experiences
Moments That Linger
Montenegro rewards the traveller who pairs its bay with its coast and mountains. These are the experiences our clients come home remembering.
The Bay of Kotor
The Bay of Kotor
A winding, fjord-like bay ringed by soaring mountains, with medieval Kotor and Perast on its shores — one of the most dramatic settings in the Mediterranean.
Sveti Stefan
The iconic fortified islet, once a fishing village and now a legendary resort — the postcard image of the Montenegrin coast.
Walled Towns
Walled Towns
Kotor's UNESCO-listed old town, the climb to its fortress walls, and the stone churches of Perast — Venetian and medieval history by the water.
Mountains & Lakes
Mountains & Lakes
Durmitor's peaks and canyons, the Tara River gorge and Lake Skadar — a wild, dramatic interior just behind the coast.
The Coast & Boating
The Budva Riviera, hidden coves and boat trips on the bay — clear Adriatic water and a glamorous, growing marina scene at Porto Montenegro.
Food & Wine
Fresh Adriatic seafood, mountain smoked ham and cheese, and characterful local wines — a hearty, authentic and great-value cuisine.
