Amanzoe

Amanzoe is the hilltop modern-acropolis Aman resort — Aman's first in Greece, an Ed Tuttle composition of Doric columns and marble colonnades on a hilltop above Porto Heli, with 360-degree Aegean views and a private pool with every pavilion and villa. A flagship Aman Spa runs to nine treatment rooms, eight treatment pavilions, two hammams and a Watsu pool, a separate private Beach Club lies ten minutes downhill with four pools and watersports, and the resort's boats cruise to the car-free islands of Spetses and Hydra. An outdoor amphitheatre stages moonlit yoga, the twenty-five-metre main pool sits among the colonnades, and Villa 20, the nine-bedroom flagship with its own taverna and of Glass Onion fame, anchors the villas. The setting is the heart of the Argolid: the resort looks over the Argolic Gulf and olive groves around two and a half hours from Athens, and the UNESCO Peloponnese — the ancient theatre at Epidaurus, the citadel of Mycenae and the Venetian town of Nafplio — lies on the doorstep. It is Greece at its most private and rarefied. Seasonal, at its best in the warmer months.
