Anassa

Anassa is the Thanos-flagship Cypriot-village resort on the Akamas coast — the family-owned group's grand flagship and a Leading Hotel of the World, on a secluded hillside on the remote northwest coast at the edge of the wild Akamas National Park. Around 165 rooms, suites and villas, including four Private Residences, are built as a traditional Cypriot village of low-rise buildings around a square with a Byzantine chapel, gardens cascading to a secluded golden beach and suites and residences adding private pools. Its award-winning Thalassa Spa is a Roman-bathhouse concept with eighteen treatment rooms and an extensive thalassotherapy programme drawing water from the bay, the dining is farm-fresh and sea-view, and sailing cruises reach the Blue Lagoon and the Baths of Aphrodite along the coast. The setting is as wild as Cyprus gets: the resort sits over Chrysochou Bay near Polis Chrysochous and the Baths of Aphrodite, with the trails, gorges and turtle beaches of the Akamas Peninsula on the doorstep and the harbour village of Latchi and the diving and swimming of the Blue Lagoon close. It is the grand, remote-Akamas village resort — distinct from the harbour-set, design-led Almyra and the all-suite Columbia in Pissouri Bay. A long season on Cyprus's mild coast.
