A Small Country, Outsized Treasures

Belize is a sliver of a country with an outsized share of treasures — the second-largest barrier reef on earth, the diving spectacle of the Great Blue Hole, jungle hiding Maya temples, and a laid-back, English-speaking Caribbean culture all its own. Compact and uncrowded, it pairs reef and rainforest more easily than almost anywhere.

At HighStreet Holidays we don't simply book Belize — we split it well: a few days in the jungle among the Maya ruins and caves, then the cayes and the reef, with the transfers handled.

With access to a carefully vetted portfolio, from jungle lodges to private-island resorts, we build a Belize that combines diving, adventure and Caribbean calm.

Belize is the easiest place to do reef and rainforest in one trip — and being English-speaking Caribbean, it feels welcoming from the moment you land.

Best Time to Visit
When to Go
DRY SEASON
late November to April
The sunniest, driest months and the prime season — ideal for the reef, the cayes and the jungle alike, with calm seas and clear water for diving. The busiest time; book ahead.
SHOULDER
May & November
Warm with the odd shower, fewer visitors and better value — a fine window either side of the peak.
GREEN SEASON
June to November
Hotter and more humid, with afternoon rains and the Atlantic hurricane season. Lush, quiet and cheaper, with plenty of sun between showers.
DIVING & WHALE SHARKS
Year-round / Apr-Jun
The reef is superb year-round; whale sharks gather off Gladden Spit around the spring full moons (April to June) — a remarkable add-on for divers.
