One of Humanity's Greatest Achievements

Cambodia is defined by one of humanity's greatest achievements — Angkor, the vast temple-city rising from the jungle, with Angkor Wat at sunrise among the most moving sights in travel. But there is more: the riverside elegance of Phnom Penh, the quiet beaches and islands of the south coast, and a people whose warmth in the face of a hard history humbles every visitor.

At HighStreet Holidays we don't simply book Cambodia — we frame it: the temples at the right hour, away from the crowds, paired with the capital or a coastal finish, and often woven into a wider Indochina journey.

With access to a carefully vetted portfolio of temple-side sanctuaries and island retreats, we build a Cambodia that moves from ancient stone to river to shore.

Nothing prepares you for Angkor at dawn. Cambodia rewards the traveller who comes for the temples and stays for the people.

Signature Experiences
Moments That Linger
Cambodia rewards the curious at every turn. These are the experiences our clients come home remembering.
The world's largest religious monument, mirrored in its moat as the sun comes up behind its towers
Angkor Wat at Sunrise
The world's largest religious monument, mirrored in its moat as the sun comes up behind its towers — among the most moving sights in all of travel. We time it to beat the crowds.
The tree-strangled ruins of Ta Prohm and the great stone faces of the Bayon
Ta Prohm & the Bayon
The tree-strangled ruins of Ta Prohm and the great stone faces of the Bayon — the temples of Angkor are a city, not a single site, and deserve a full two days.
The great lake and its floating and stilted villages
Tonlé Sap
The great lake and its floating and stilted villages — a glimpse of a way of life shaped entirely by the rise and fall of the water.
The riverside capital
Phnom Penh
The riverside capital — the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, French-colonial streets, and the sobering, essential history of the Khmer Rouge years.
Koh Rong and the quiet south-coast beaches
The Southern Islands
Koh Rong and the quiet south-coast beaches — a barefoot, low-key finish far from the temple crowds.
Subtle, fragrant and often overlooked
Khmer Cuisine
Subtle, fragrant and often overlooked — a Khmer cookery class or market tour reveals one of Southeast Asia's quiet culinary pleasures.

Best Time to Visit
When to Go
PEAK SEASON
November to February
Cool, dry and sunny — the best time for Angkor and the coast alike. The busiest stretch, especially over the festive weeks.
HOT SEASON
March to May
Very hot (35C and above). Quieter at the temples and lower in price, with early starts essential to beat the heat.
GREEN SEASON
June to October
The rains bring lush landscapes and full moats at Angkor. Showers are often brief; this is the cheapest and quietest time to visit.
ANGKOR ANY SEASON
Year-round
Sunrise over Angkor Wat is extraordinary whatever the month — we simply time your temple visits to the cooler hours of the day.
