Two Holidays in One Country

Mexico is two holidays in one country — the powder beaches and turquoise Caribbean of the Riviera Maya and Tulum, and the ancient pyramids, colonial cities and remarkable food of the interior. Add the Maya ruins of Chichen Itza, the cenotes and the colour of Oaxaca and Mexico City, and it rewards far more than a fortnight on the sand.

At HighStreet Holidays we don't simply book Mexico — we balance it: beach and culture, the Yucatan's ruins paired with its coast, or a city-and-shore combination, with the transfers handled.

With access to a carefully vetted portfolio, from beachfront resorts to colonial boutique hotels, we build a Mexico that goes well beyond the all-inclusive.

Mexico is so much more than a beach. The food, the ruins, the colour of the cities — most people come back determined to see the half they missed.

Signature Experiences
Moments That Linger
Mexico rewards the traveller who pairs beach with culture. These are the experiences our clients come home remembering.
The Caribbean beaches of the Yucatan

The Caribbean beaches of the Yucatan — Tulum, Playa del Carmen and the cayes — turquoise water, white sand and the reef just offshore.
Chichen Itza, Tulum's clifftop temples and the jungle pyramids of Palenque
Maya Ruins
Chichen Itza, Tulum's clifftop temples and the jungle pyramids of Palenque — one of the great ancient civilisations, easily reached from the coast.
The Yucatan's sacred sinkholes
Cenotes
The Yucatan's sacred sinkholes — crystal-clear freshwater pools in caves and jungle, magical for a swim or a snorkel.
The capital's museums, markets and world-ranked restaurants, and a food culture far richer and more varied than its reputation suggests

Best Time to Visit
When to Go
DRY SEASON
November to April
Warm, sunny and dry — the prime season for the Caribbean coast, the ruins and the colonial cities alike. The festive weeks are the busiest and priciest; book ahead.
SHOULDER
May & November
Warm and largely dry, with fewer crowds and better value — a fine window either side of the peak.
GREEN SEASON
June to October
Hotter and more humid, with afternoon showers and the Atlantic hurricane season on the Caribbean coast. Lush, quieter and cheaper, with plenty of sun between the rain.
WHALE SEASON
December to April
Grey and humpback whales gather off Baja California on the Pacific side — a remarkable add-on within the dry season.
