About the Resort
A floating design-icon spa hotel
Arctic Bath

Arctic Bath is an architectural floating spa hotel on the Lule River at Harads in Swedish Lapland — a timber circle around an open-air, ice-cold plunge pool fed by the river, ringed by saunas, that floats in summer and freezes into the ice in winter. Just 12 glass-fronted cabins surround it: six cosy water cabins on the river and six two-storey land cabins for families, all heated with wood-burning stoves. A Member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World with one Michelin Key, it pairs the sauna-and-cold-dip ritual with Scandinavian set-menu dining and dog sledding under the northern lights. Design-led Arctic wellness.

“I had stayed at Four Seasons, One&Only and Velaa before visiting Arctic Bath. They are all magnificent. But this is different in a way that is hard to articulate.”
