About the Resort
A remote all-inclusive adventure-and-wellness lodge on the Troll Peninsula
Deplar Farm

Deplar Farm is Eleven's flagship Iceland lodge — a converted fifteenth-century sheep farm in the remote Fljot Valley on the Troll Peninsula, just thirteen rooms under grass-sodded roofs. All-inclusive guided adventures run from heli-skiing fjord-rimmed couloirs down to the ocean to sea kayaking, fly fishing for Atlantic salmon, horse riding and whale watching, each with a dedicated guide and an Experience Team. A geothermal indoor-outdoor pool carries a swim-up bar, a turf-mound Viking sauna, a steam room, flotation tanks, a yoga studio and a gym anchor the spa with signature Fire-and-Ice and Viking Sauna rituals, and chef-prepared farm-to-table dinners gather guests at a long table by a stacked-stone fireplace. The setting is as remote as luxury Iceland gets: the Troll Peninsula's jagged peaks and fjords rise around the valley, the lodge is around ninety minutes from Akureyri with transfers included and often reached or enhanced by helicopter, and the Northern Lights appear straight from the door. Whole-lodge buyouts suit groups and families. It is the remote ultra-luxury adventure lodge — distinct from the geothermal Blue Lagoon hotels and the south-coast boutiques. Year-round, with heli-ski from March.

“I had stayed at Four Seasons, One&Only and Velaa before visiting Deplar Farm. They are all magnificent. But this is different in a way that is hard to articulate.”
