The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore

The Fullerton Bay Hotel is a jewel-box built out over the water of Marina Bay — a hundred-room design boutique entered through the restored Art Deco Clifford Pier, with balconies that hang above the bay and a rooftop that looks straight across at Marina Bay Sands. The interiors are by André Fu — rosewood lattice, leather, chrome and natural hues — and the signature is the Lantern rooftop bar and its infinity lap pool, among the finest skyline perches in the city and prime seats for the nightly Spectra show. The Landing Point serves afternoon tea and sundowners at the water's edge, La Brasserie does French bistro cooking, and the Gin Parlour pours with a view. This is a city design hotel, not a resort — there is no beach and no full spa, and the gym is modest — but for design, intimacy and arguably the best view of Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, it is hard to better. The stylish counterpoint to the mega-towers across the water.
