Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel

The Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat is a French Riviera legend since 1908 — a Four Seasons palace at the tip of the Cap-Ferrat peninsula, set in seven hectares of Mediterranean gardens between Nice and Monaco, once a haunt of Churchill, Chaplin and Picasso. Its signature is the Club Dauphin, an Olympic-sized heated seawater infinity pool reached by a private funicular that drops down through the gardens to the sea. The original 1908 Heritage Building carries a Rotunda built by Gustave Eiffel, Michelin-starred Le Cap by Yoric Tieche crowns the dining, and an award-winning sea-view spa of around seven hundred and fifty square metres, two tennis courts and a kids' club round it out, with some suites taking private pools. Around seventy-three rooms and suites spread across three buildings in Pierre-Yves Rochon design, from the Heritage Building to the garden Terrasses du Cap and a newer wing. The setting is the glittering middle of the Cote d'Azur: the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, the coastal paths of the peninsula, Beaulieu, Eze and the lights of Nice and Monaco are all close. The Riviera icon between Nice and Monaco — its seawater pool at its best in the warmer months. The peninsula's coastal paths thread past hidden coves to the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, with Beaulieu, Eze and Villefranche a short drive along the corniches.
