One&Only Reethi Rah

One&Only Reethi Rah trades one-island intimacy for sheer scale: one of the Maldives' largest private islands, around 44 hectares in North Malé Atoll, with twelve beaches, six kilometres of shoreline and room to disappear, landscaped by the architect Jean-Michel Gathy. It is an all-villa island — around 120 villas and residences, every one with a private pool, in beach and overwater settings, with the overwater Water Villas reserved for adults. The facilities are those of a grand resort: it was the Maldives' first PADI National Geographic dive centre and the first resort to put in a climbing wall, backed by two championship tennis courts, an art studio and a large One&Only Spa of private treatment pavilions. Dining spans six restaurants and five bars, from overwater Japanese at Tapasake to Middle Eastern flavours on the sand at Fanditha. A KidsOnly club and a dedicated teens programme make it work for families as much as couples. On a bed-and-breakfast base, around 15 minutes by seaplane or 45 by speedboat from Malé, it suits couples, families and groups who want space as much as seclusion.

- A room-only or bed-and-breakfast base, with half- and full-board available.
- A seaplane of around 15 minutes or a luxury speedboat of around 45 minutes from Malé — chargeable and arranged by the resort.
- The overwater Water Villas are adults-only; a waiver is signed at check-in.
- International flights to Malé (Velana), then a seaplane or speedboat transfer to the island.
