Rosewood Beijing

Rosewood Beijing is the city's contemporary 'urban village' — Rosewood's first China hotel, holding a Michelin Two-Key, in the Chaoyang central business district opposite the landmark CCTV Tower. Its 283 rooms are residential and apartment-style, among the largest in the city, with floor-to-ceiling skyline windows, walk-in closets, daybeds, Frette linens and an original cloisonné piece in every room; the Manor Club serves its club tiers. The dining is a draw in its own right: Michelin-starred Country Kitchen for northern Chinese cooking and Peking duck, The House of Dynasties for Cantonese, Red Bowl for Sichuan hot pot, and Bistrot B for French. Sense, A Rosewood Spa — the first Sense in Asia — runs imperial-inspired treatments across six rooms and two overnight spa suites, and a museum-like collection of gongbi and ink-wash painting runs through the hotel. There is no beach and there are no courtyards — this is a modern city base — best for design, art, business and Beijing's sights, the Forbidden City and the Great Wall a drive away. It is the contemporary counterpoint to the Peninsula's all-suite heritage.
