Rosewood Blue Palace

Rosewood Blue Palace marks Rosewood's debut in Greece — the legendary Blue Palace reborn on the hillside between the Plaka fishing village and the port of Elounda, over the Gulf of Elounda facing the island of Spinalonga. Designed by the Grecian firm K-Studio in local stone, open-air courtyards and a residential style rooted in Cretan tradition, it gathers 154 rooms and suites among palm and olive trees, eighty-five of them with a private pool, with sea or Spinalonga views. Six restaurants and bars, their spaces by Afroditi Krassa, run from an all-day restaurant drawing on an on-site organic garden to a beach club and a signature bar overlooking Spinalonga, while the Asaya Spa — Rosewood's holistic wellness concept — adds a yoga pavilion, a movement studio and hydrotherapy. Three sea-view pools, a private beach and a fitness centre complete a seaside sanctuary. The setting is the most storied corner of Crete: Spinalonga's Venetian fortress, the fishing village of Plaka, the resort town of Agios Nikolaos and the Gulf of Mirabello all lie close, with the Lasithi mountains behind. It is Crete's most storied resort, in a new chapter. Seasonal, summer-peak.
