The Love Affair That Never Ends

Thailand is the gateway to Asia and, for many, the love affair that never ends. It offers an extraordinary range within a single country: the temples, markets and street-food clamour of Bangkok; the lantern-lit calm of Chiang Mai and the northern hills; and two entirely different coastlines of warm, clear sea — the Andaman to the west, the Gulf to the east — strung with islands and beaches.

At HighStreet Holidays we don't simply book Thailand — we balance it: a few days in the energy of Bangkok, perhaps the cultural north, then a long exhale on the right beach for your timing and taste.

With access to a carefully vetted portfolio from city sanctuaries to barefoot island retreats, we build a Thailand that flows from temple to table to shore.

Thailand ruins you for other places — the warmth, the food, the sheer ease of it. People come once and spend years finding reasons to return.

Signature Experiences
Moments That Linger
Thailand rewards the curious at every turn. These are the experiences our clients come home remembering.
The Grand Palace, the reclining Buddha at Wat Pho and Wat Arun on the river
Bangkok's Temples
The Grand Palace, the reclining Buddha at Wat Pho and Wat Arun on the river — Bangkok's golden heart, best in the cool of early morning before the heat and crowds build.
Thailand may serve the best street food on earth
Street Food & Markets
Thailand may serve the best street food on earth. A guided evening through Bangkok's stalls, or a floating market by longtail boat, is a highlight in itself.
Chiang Mai's temples, night bazaar and cookery schools, and an ethical elephant sanctuary in the hills
The Northern Hills
Chiang Mai's temples, night bazaar and cookery schools, and an ethical elephant sanctuary in the hills — the gentle, cultured counterpoint to the beaches.
The limestone karsts of Phang Nga Bay, the beaches of Krabi and Phuket, and island days by longtail
The Andaman Coast
The limestone karsts of Phang Nga Bay, the beaches of Krabi and Phuket, and island days by longtail — the postcard Thailand, at its best November to April.
Koh Samui and its quieter neighbours, on a different weather pattern to the Andaman, so there's almost always a beach…
The Gulf Islands
Koh Samui and its quieter neighbours, on a different weather pattern to the Andaman, so there's almost always a beach in season somewhere.

Best Time to Visit
When to Go
PEAK SEASON
November to February
Cool, dry and sunny across the country — the ideal time, and the busiest. The festive weeks are the priciest of the year; book the best beach hotels well ahead.
HOT SEASON
March to May
Very hot (35C and above) and increasingly humid, with Songkran (Thai New Year) in mid-April. Lower rates before the rains, and still excellent for the islands.
GREEN SEASON
June to October
The rains — lush, quiet and the cheapest time. Showers are often short and heavy; the Gulf coast (Koh Samui) stays drier than the Andaman through much of it.
TWO COASTS
Year-round
The Andaman (Phuket, Krabi) is best November to April; the Gulf (Samui, Phangan) is best January to September. There's almost always a beach in season — we steer you to it.
