Ayana Komodo Waecicu Beach

Ayana Komodo Waecicu Beach is the Labuan Bajo gateway to Komodo National Park — the first world-class resort in Komodo, on a cliff and beachfront over the Flores Sea facing Kukusan Island, about ten minutes from the airport. Around 205 rooms and suites carry a nautical, phinisi-inspired design with ocean views and marble baths; the Deluxe Ocean View rooms take in 180-degree sea and Kukusan Island sunsets, and the Ocean View Suites look over the jetty. The headline is the AYANA Lako di'a — a 54-metre, nine-cabin luxury phinisi yacht for one-to-three-night cruises — one of five cruise options to see Komodo dragons on Rinca and Komodo, the peaks of Padar Island, the Pink Beach and the manta rays. There are seven dining venues across beach and rooftop, two main pools and a children's Jetty Pool, a private beach and long jetty, and a dive centre. Resort-scale and full of facilities, it is the family-and-groups choice on Waecicu Beach — where the neighbouring Plataran is the intimate one — and the comfortable base for exploring Komodo.
