About the Resort
The only lodge inside Chobe National Park
Chobe Game Lodge

Chobe Game Lodge is the only permanent lodge inside Chobe National Park — which is its whole advantage: its vehicles and boats are out before any other lodge's, in the riverfront sector with the densest elephant population in the world, for the best early predator viewing. A long-established lodge in Moorish-arched, barrel-vaulted design, it offers both land game drives and Chobe River boat safaris, and it pioneered Africa's first electric, solar 'silent safaris' by vehicle and boat back in 2014, guided by the trail-blazing all-female 'Chobe Angels.' The 44 rooms run to 40 river-facing rooms and four suites with private infinity plunge pools, all with air-conditioning and river-view terraces. It is larger and more accessible than the intimate fly-in camps — a drive-in base around 40 minutes from Kasane, with no bush-plane needed — and it carries a touch of history as the place Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton married. All-inclusive, family-friendly and conservation-minded, it is the easy way into the heart of Chobe.

Savute Elephant Lodge
Botswana
Savute Elephant Lodge
Savute Elephant Lodge is Belmond's tented safari camp on the legendary, intermittent Savute Channel — a 'ghost river' in southern Chobe National Park, the elephant capital of the world. Twelve thatched, raised tented rooms carry four-poster beds, indoor and outdoor showers and large private decks with hammocks, with an elevated pool and a waterhole viewing hide where elephants come within metres of the deck. The Savuti is famed for its elephant and lion concentrations and as a BBC and Nat Geo filming location, and the camp pairs that game with Belmond polish, resident environmentalist talks and the carmine bee-eater migration — a distinctive Chobe icon.

Botswana
Cresta Mowana Safari Resort & Spa
Cresta Mowana is a comfortable, well-priced riverfront resort on the Chobe River at Kasane — a drive-in base around ten minutes from the airport, with Chobe National Park, the elephant capital of Africa, on the doorstep and no bush plane required. Around 110 rooms and suites carry river-view balconies, and the resort is named for the thousand-year-old baobab around which its lobby is built ('mowana' means baobab). Chobe game drives and sunset boat cruises, a spa with a treehouse hair salon, infinity pools and the adjacent Mowana Golf Course make it the page's accessible, family-friendly Chobe base.
Wilderness Mombo Camp
Botswana
Wilderness Mombo Camp
Wilderness Mombo is the flagship of the Wilderness portfolio — and widely recognised as among the finest safaris in Africa. It sits on the Mombo Concession at the northern tip of Chief's Island, in the heart of Moremi, the 'Place of Plenty', where exceptional lion, leopard, cheetah and wild-dog density makes it a predator capital and one of Botswana's best places to find rhino. Nine elevated luxury tents, each with a separate sitting room, a private deck, a plunge pool and a thatched sala, look over floodplains where buffalo and elephant pass beneath the decks. Mombo was central to the Botswana Rhino Reintroduction Project, runs entirely on solar, and remains one of the most coveted safaris on earth.
