About the Resort
A beach resort to finish a Kenyan safari
Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa

Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa is the relaxed coast finish to a Kenyan safari — a large, full-facility resort across 30 acres of gardens on white-sand Diani Beach, on the Indian Ocean about 45 minutes south of Mombasa. After the bush, this is the place to slow down: around 145 rooms and suites with private balconies and ocean views, five restaurants and three bars, the Maya Spa, two freshwater pools and a private beach. Diani is one of the coast's best beaches and a watersports hub — snorkelling, diving and kitesurfing off the sand, dhow trips along the coast, and day trips to the Kisite-Mpunguti marine park for dolphins, with a Maasai village visit inland. Dining ranges from the Coral Rock buffet with live cooking to Japanese and Oriental fusion at Sake and seafood and grills on the beach at Fins. A kids' club and family rooms make it an easy fit for families, and there is flexible board, from bed and breakfast to all-inclusive. It is a comfortable, sociable beach resort — the easygoing Indian Ocean bookend to time on safari.

Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club
The Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club is a grand 100-acre country estate on the slopes of Mount Kenya — a 1959 club once frequented by Hollywood and royalty, with the Equator line running right through the grounds. Around 120 rooms, suites, cottages and villas spread across manicured gardens, many with fireplaces and mountain views, from the original manor's Equator-split Equatorial Suite to family villas with nanny rooms. An adjoining wildlife conservancy and animal orphanage sit on the doorstep, alongside Jack Nicklaus-designed golf, horseback Slopes Breakfasts and a colonial-glamour 'dress for dinner' tradition — a very different experience from a bush camp.

Giraffe Manor
Giraffe Manor is a 1932 boutique manor house in Nairobi's Langata suburb, set on twelve private acres within 140 acres of forest — and home to a resident herd of endangered Rothschild's giraffes. At breakfast and afternoon tea, the giraffes lean through the windows to be hand-fed, the only place on earth where this happens. Twelve individually styled, vintage-elegant suites across the Historic and Garden Manors make it the classic first or last night before safari. The adjacent AFEW Giraffe Centre anchors the conservation story, and The Retreat adds a spa, pool and gym — but it's a 1-to-2-night icon that books far ahead.

Mahali Mzuri
Mahali Mzuri is Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Limited Edition camp, set on a hillside in the private Olare Motorogi Conservancy bordering the Maasai Mara. As one of only a handful of camps across the conservancy, it offers off-road and night game drives with barely another vehicle in sight — and big-cat country where lion-pride territories converge. Twelve design-led tented suites stand raised on private decks, with freestanding tubs and the rare luxury of in-tent air-conditioning. An infinity pool overlooks the plains, the Nasaro Spa tent handles the downtime, and the camp sits squarely on the Great Migration path.
