Grand Hotel Tremezzo

Grand Hotel Tremezzo is the iconic Lake Como grand hotel — a canary-yellow 1910 Art Nouveau palace on the western shore facing Bellagio, family-run across three generations. Its signature is the “Water on the Water” floating pool, heated and set out on the lake itself, one of three pools alongside the gardens and an indoor infinity pool. T Beach recreates a 1950s-Riviera lakefront club, vintage wooden speedboats carry guests to the lake's hidden villas — Carlotta next door, Balbianello, Melzi and across to Bellagio — and the thousand-square-metre T Spa fills an eighteenth-century villa with a marble hammam, a lake-view sauna and an indoor infinity pool. Around ninety rooms and suites look over the lake or gardens in Como silk, Carrara marble and antiques, with rooftop Grand Suites adding a terrace and outdoor jacuzzi. The setting is pure Como theatre: the Grigne mountains rise across the water, Villa Carlotta's botanical gardens sit next door, and the villages of Bellagio, Varenna and Menaggio are a short boat ride away. It is the Como icon — seasonal, open in the warmer months.
