About the Resort
The iconic Amalfi clifftop hotel
Belmond Hotel Caruso

Belmond Hotel Caruso is the iconic Amalfi Coast clifftop hotel — a restored eleventh-century palazzo at the highest point of Ravello's cliff, around three hundred and sixty-five metres above the sea, with what is often called the world's most photographed infinity pool, seemingly suspended between sea and sky. Its fifty rooms and suites carry original eighteenth-century frescoes, vaulted ceilings, marble and Italian antiques, many with private terraces over the coast, the sea or the gardens. Complimentary daily boat excursions aboard the hotel's wooden Ercole run to Amalfi and Positano, the hundred-year-old gardens spill with roses and lemon trees, and the dining moves from the summer-terrace Belvedere to a poolside wood-fired pizza restaurant and a piano bar. A wellness centre with Santa Maria Novella products, vintage Vespas and helicopter flights complete the romance, while Ravello's own Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo, the towns of Amalfi and Positano, the Path of the Gods and the ruins of Pompeii and the island of Capri all sit within reach. It is the Amalfi icon — seasonal, at its best in the warmer months.

Dining
Dining moves from the summer-terrace Belvedere of Italian and Neapolitan cooking to a poolside wood-fired pizza restaurant, a piano bar and a wine-cellar trattoria. It is romantic coast dining, the Mediterranean spread out far below and the gardens scented with lemon and rose. The Belvedere terrace dines with the whole gulf laid out beneath, and the poolside pizzeria keeps the lunches easy.

Wellbeing
Wellness & pool
A wellness centre uses Santa Maria Novella products with the signature Ritual of Happiness, joined by a sea-view gym and, above all, the world-famous clifftop infinity pool three hundred and sixty-five metres over the sea. Wellness here is the view itself, the pool seemingly suspended between sea and sky high above the village of Ravello. The famous infinity pool, seemingly suspended over the gulf, is the centrepiece, the Santa Maria Novella treatments the gentler counterpoint.

Grand Hotel Tremezzo
Grand Hotel Tremezzo is the iconic Lake Como grand hotel — a canary-yellow 1910 Art Nouveau palace on the western shore facing Bellagio, family-run across three generations. Its signature is the "Water on the Water" floating pool, heated and set out on the lake itself, one of three pools alongside the gardens and an indoor infinity pool. T Beach recreates a 1950s-Riviera lakefront club, vintage wooden speedboats carry guests to the lake's hidden villas — Carlotta, Bellagio, Balbianello — and the 1,000-square-metre T Spa fills an 18th-century villa with hammam, sauna and an indoor pool. Around 90 rooms look over the lake or gardens. The Como icon — seasonal, open in the warmer months.
Four Seasons Hotel Firenze

Four Seasons Hotel Firenze
The Four Seasons Firenze is the Renaissance-palazzo Florence hotel with something the city almost never offers: space. Set in the 1473 Palazzo della Gherardesca, it wraps around the Giardino della Gherardesca, Florence's largest private garden — around 11 acres of centuries-old trees and sculpture, an urban oasis a 10-minute walk from the Duomo, Uffizi and David. Its 116 rooms, no two alike, span the Renaissance palazzo and a reimagined former convent, with frescoes, reliefs and marble baths. Michelin-starred Il Palagio anchors the dining, a garden spa and outdoor pool the wellness, and the hotel sits among the World's 50 Best. The art capital, with a green retreat at its heart.

Verdura Resort, a Rocco Forte Hotel
Verdura Resort is Rocco Forte's full-scale Sicilian flagship — a 230-hectare golf, spa and beach estate on Sicily's southwest coast and the number-one family resort on the island. Two championship links-by-the-sea golf courses and a 9-hole par-3 draw golfers, a 4,000-square-metre spa with outdoor thalassotherapy pools draws spa-goers, and around 2 km of private beach, a 60-metre infinity pool and a 450-square-metre kids' club to age 16 make it a natural multi-generational base. Eight restaurants run from Sicilian to Japanese under chef Fulvio Pierangelini, with an organic farm behind them, and the Greek temples of Agrigento and Selinunte sit on the doorstep. The active beach-golf-culture resort.
