LUX* Grand Gaube

LUX* Grand Gaube is the brand at its most playful — retro-chic Kelly Hoppen interiors on a north-coast peninsula set between sheltered coves. The dining is lively and eclectic: Peruvian and Argentine fusion at INTI, Turkish cooking by the water at Bodrum Blue, a burger shack with a rum treehouse at Banyan, and global live stations through the day at Palm Court — a vibrant choice, with the operator listing up to six restaurants and seven bars. The activities run deep: two kids' clubs for ages three and up and a teens' club, a PADI dive centre, a tennis academy, a golf driving range with a championship course around twenty minutes away, a 60-seat cinema and three pools. There is a tranquil adults-only Banyan area, and a LUX* Me Spa with hydrotherapy and a salt-water pool. Accommodation runs from adults-only Banyan rooms to family suites, ocean villas with private pools and the LUX* Villa on its own peninsula. It is also the closest of our six to Grand Baie and the north's sights. On an all-inclusive, half-board or bed-and-breakfast basis, around an hour and a half by road from the airport.
