The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa

The Westin Turtle Bay is a polished, wellness-led, all-suite resort with a real sense of place: it fronts Baie aux Tortues, a protected national marine park named for the sea turtles in its waters, on the north-west coast at Balaclava, where a sheltered reef lies just off the beach. It is built around Westin's six wellness pillars — the Heavenly Spa, the Westin Workout, the Heavenly Bed and a Whisper Zone adults-only infinity pool — and the snorkelling, the marine life and the calm, clear lagoon are at the heart of a stay. All 190 keys are suites, from junior suites with a whirlpool and the Heavenly Bed to club and beachfront suites with their own stretch of sand. Five restaurants run from modern Indian at Kangan and Japanese at Fusion to an international buffet at Seasonal Tastes, a beach grill, and The Retreat Bar with the island's largest rum selection. With a kids' club alongside the wellness programming, it works for families, couples and wellness-seekers. On a bed-and-breakfast or half-board basis, around an hour by road from the airport.
