Grand Park Hotel Rovinj by Maistra Collection

Grand Park Hotel Rovinj is the design-and-Michelin Istrian flagship — Maistra Collection's Leading Hotels flagship at Rovinj, a Piero Lissoni and 3LHD design cascading through the Golden Cape forest park over the Adriatic and Rovinj's Old Town. It holds Croatia's only two-Michelin-starred restaurant, Agli Amici Rovinj, alongside the one-star Cap Aureo, and the Albaro Wellness & Spa is the largest in Istria at around three thousand eight hundred square metres. Three pools include a fifty-metre sports pool and a rooftop pool, the 209 rooms run a comfortable minimalism of natural materials with private plunge pools in select suites, and an ACI marina, the Lungo Mare Plaza shopping and a private-island-beach shuttle complete it. The setting is the best of Istria: the cobbled Old Town of Rovinj and its St Euphemia campanile rise across the water, the Golden Cape (Zlatni Rt) forest park spreads at the door, and the Roman arena at Pula, the Brijuni islands and the truffle country and vineyards of the interior are all within reach. It is the design, spa and gastronomy flagship of Istria — a distinct region from the Dubrovnik coast and the island of Hvar. Rovinj's cobbled lanes and the Grisia artists' street climb to St Euphemia's church, while the Lim Fjord, the Roman arena at Pula and the hilltop truffle towns of the interior all lie within an easy drive.
