A World Within One Country

India overwhelms in the best possible way — a country so vast and various it can feel like a dozen nations under one name. There is the Golden Triangle of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, where the Taj Mahal still stops every visitor in their tracks; the palaces and desert forts of Rajasthan; the green calm of Kerala's backwaters; and tiger country in the national parks of the north.

At HighStreet Holidays we don't try to show you all of it at once. We shape a journey with room to breathe — a considered route, the right hotels, and private guides who turn sights into stories.

With access to a carefully vetted portfolio, from heritage palace hotels to backwater retreats, we build an India that moves at your pace, not the crowd's.

India doesn't ask to be liked — it asks to be felt. People arrive curious and leave changed, already planning the next region.

Best Time to Visit
When to Go
PEAK SEASON
October to March
Cool, dry and sunny across most of the country — the ideal window for the Golden Triangle, Rajasthan and the south. December and January are the most popular; book the palace hotels well ahead.
HOT SEASON
April to June
Very hot across the plains (40C and above), though this is the best time for the cool Himalayan hill stations and for tiger sightings as animals gather at waterholes.
MONSOON
July to September
The rains arrive — dramatic, green and far quieter, with lower rates. Kerala is at its most lush, though some parks and mountain roads close. We route around the heaviest weather.
A REGIONAL COUNTRY
Year-round
India is so large that there's almost always a region in season — the deserts and cities in winter, the mountains in summer, the south through much of the year. We time and route your trip accordingly.
